‘The Stone Tide’, a short film by Martin Fuller, follows Unofficial Britain’s founder Gareth E. Rees, author of The Stone Tide [Influx Press, 2018] as he walks through Hastings with his dog Hendrix.

“Winter by winter, the seas were peeling back the cliffs, unleashing memories of climate disaster and invasion, chaos and upheaval. History had come full circle. A great ecological reckoning was ahead and Hastings was to be its locus. Yet people here were too busy drinking craft ales and eating prawns to notice….”
